Improve Your Memory . . .

This from last Sunday's Parade Magazine, Emily Listfield says, "when you hold a pen with your teeth, the facial muscles are utilized in the same way as when you're smiling, which activates happy thoughts.

Try it . . . how does it feel? Does it make you want to smile? Once you smile how easy is it to let out a little giggle?????? Who knows you might even give yourself the gift of a great big laugh. Oh you feel soooooooo much better! Keep it up and everyone around you will lighten up too!

The article goes on to say, "When you hold the pen with your lips, you use the same muscles as when you're sad, triggering sad thoughts." So keep that pen clenched softly in your teeth and think happy thoughts.

Try it the next time you get an unhappy customer on the phone or you are the one on hold for customer service. Good thing to try when you are so patiently pushing all the numbers on those nasty automated phone systems. No matter what the kind automate voice might be saying don't you REALLY think the company you are calling does NOT want YOUR business?

When walking around the office or grocery store notice the expression on other people's faces. Are they mimicking holding a pen with their lips (sad) or their teeth (happy)?

Share this with all your friends and family so you can start an "awareness of expression" campaign. When you see that look of sadness simple say, "TEETH" with a great big smile. Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

Blessings do come through laughter,
